Still in hospital

Just got my vertical sleeve done wed, still in the hospital. My incision where the stomach was removed hurts like hell. How long can this pain possibly last?

I'm so sorry! But it WILL heal, and WILL get better.

That incision still gets sore for me 4 weeks later. But not pain--just sore.

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]

I am 9 days out and stopped the pain meds last Sunday. The second day was the worst for me. I really have minimal discomfort from the actual incisions it is more painful if I eat to much or too fast.

Mine hurt badly for about a week, then it was sore til about 4-5 weeks later. I'm 7 weeks out now and it's isnt' even sore. I had a drain for 10 days and that thing was like dragging around an anchor. After I had it out, everything started to heal.
You will forget all about the pain when the pounds start falling off. Good Luck!

Tell your nurse you need better pain management. There is no reason you should be in pain.

Mine were tender for about a week - but nothing terrible. Feel better and remember to sip, walk, rest, repeat!

my was tender but only hurt whent they pull the drainer you will be ok as soon as you step on the scale, you will be glad,
