A friend of mine mentions the above bars, just looked at the cal/carbs.  They are high in carbs like 23 grams; although low in sugar.  Hope we all look at all the stats when looking for foods to help us keep out weight off.

I actually eat these bars several times a week.  270 calories/30 protein.  I eat one for breakfast before the 5.5 or 7.7 mile hike that I do 4x a week.  they have enough calories and carbs to get me through the intensive hills up in the Redwoods.  This sits better in my sleeve than eating 30 protein grams of meat for breakfast.  I burn around 400-500 calories depending on which hike and lose my stamina at te end without the fuel.

I get these at Costco.

So you aren't worried about the carb count?

When I do intensive hikes I do better with some carbs in my food plan.

My husband eats them pretty regularly and they work well for him. I may use them once I get to maintenance, but probably not before, unless I find myself needing to up my carbs for some reason (which I don't see happening any time soon).
