Surgiversary & How Ya Doin June Sleevers

Seems hardly possible that one year ago today, me and the equivlivant of another perspm were wheeled into Operating Room 13 (definitely not unlucky) at Methodist Hospital in Omaha NE for the best medical decision of our lives. A year later, that other person is gone and I feel soooo much better now. Anybody reading these posts and still on the fence as to whether to cross over to the losers bench, all I can say is COME ON IN!! THE WATER IS GREAT AND YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!!!!! So how are you doing fellow June sleevers and anybody else who wants to chime in? I know I have not been posting for a while (have had lots going on in my life in recent weeks) but I will try to  be more active on the board now that things are settling down a little bit. Best wishes to all. Hopefully, some newbies reading this will get inspiration and fencesitters will come on over. Again, you will never regret it.

Glad to hear you are doing well, also! Keep rockin' it!

Way to go Poker on hitting that century club. It is really awesome. I will be doing a cople of walking events for Cornhusker State Games later this summer. Never would have attempted them a year ago. Thanks for the kind words and glad you are doing well too.

Hey sleeve brother!  You are doing great.  Congratulations to us for our 1-year anniversary.

My weight loss has slowed down, but I met my one-year goal of 150 pounds. But, I'm not done yet!  I'm getting settled into my new home and job.  I'm getting a routine again. I'm jump starting my summer with a new workout that I am starting tomorrow. I'm not too concerned about the slow down because I know that it is due to my choices and life changes.  I still have good restriction, and I don't mind taking responsibility for getting back on track.

I'm amazed by my body every day. In particular, I'm amazed by the amount of control that I have over it. The sleeve is still working.  Thanks to my gallbladder surgery a couple of months ago, I feel great all of the time.

Best decision ever.

Hey Mimi,

Good to hear from you. I figured you would be chiming in as I remembered we are surgiversary sleevemates. Good to hear from you and glad to hear that you are dong so well. Looks like we are on similar paths. My loss has slowed down too and i have a little  ways to go to goal but I will keep on plugging until I reach the 2 century club. Glad your new job is going well. Take care sleeve sister.
