I cannot believe that I am on this side now. The wait was worth it. My surgery was at Sibley Hospital. Everything went great. I was walking that night and was released at 7:00 p.m. on June 13. By Friday, today, I am able to spend most of the day of bed. I drank 1 1/2 cups of protein shakes and 32 oz of water. The sugar free pops help a lot. I'm walking a lot as well. The pain is minimal. My abs hurt obviously and my left shoulder is sore from the gas as well. I will still take it slow over the weekend.

I'm looking forward to the days ahead. I want to thank everyone for their inspiration.

I was sleeved Tuesday myself!!! I'm amazed I am not hungry!! But the head hunger is pretty bad. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!!

Thanks everyone. I'm enjoying the time off. Resting when I have to. Unfortunately, I haven't had a BM since surgery. I've taken stool laxatives, etc. and so far nothing. I'm sure in time everything will return to normal. I'll venture out tomorrow for the first time. It's beautiful here in DC.
