Red itchy rash around drain incision

 I am 5 days post op, I have noticed last night I have red itchy rash around my drain incision area and I also have it under my breast ( sorry tmi).  I have emailed my Dr. about my concern. I was told it's an allergic reaction to the surgical tape and just take Benadryl.  I am just wondering if anyone had this? Thanks.

Try some beneadryl ointment too. Just as long as it doesn't look infected, or feel hot. Btw I'm not a doctor. I had lots of itching due to surgical glue.

I have the exact same thing. The stupid rash looks worse than the incisions. I am using coconut oil and it feels much better. I found that the antibacterial soup I was using on my tummy was way too harsh - made it worse. Good luck!!
