my blood pressure was up for about 24 hours but they gave me meds and it went back down.  Are you still in the hospital?  I'd DEFINITELY give my Dr. a call if I was you.  Better safe than sorry.

A high heart rate can be an indicater of a possible complication especially if it is consistent.  A high heart rate after eating can just be too much food or too much sugar/carbs.  You didn't mention how frequent or the severity of it, but I would definately call the surgeons office and explain your symptoms to them and see what they suggest.  This symptom can be an indicator of many things, but my main concern would be a leak.

Well, I've had that but I recognize it as my anxiety/panic disorder. You've posted quite a bit about pain and discomfort so I think it may be your anxiety over the pain or waiting for a shoe to drop and this being new to you or something serious. Call your doctor either way.
