question for my husband who just had surgery Tue.....

All in all he feels good--but he has a sore spot on the right side right above the incision under his right "boob" I have no other way to explain....there is a small bulge there and this is the area bothering him---he asys it hurts there and only there when he coughs etc?? I talked to the doc office yesterday and asked about it and they said thats where the diaphram is loctaed and normal to be sore, but I was worried about the bulge? Any ideas??

 I had the same thing.  Remember that they cut through layers of muscle, pushed a trochar through, and then pulled the stoamch out through there.  The bulges are normal.

Its also normal for that site to be sore longer than the rest.

thanks so much for the response! I kinda figured...but we just wanted to make sure there are others out there that had this too.

 I had the same thing for about a week after surgery. Then it went away. The Dr. said that as long as it doesn't feel especially hot to the touch that it is ok.
