A Sometimes Treat

 So my husband came up with this nifty treat today.  It's a bit higher in carbs than I'd like to see for the protein, but not bad.  Anyway here goes:

1/2 cup Fage 0%
1tbsp UNSWEETEANED Cocoa Powder
2 tsp Splenda

Total = 77 calories, 9g carbs, 13g of protein

My clinic pushes greek yogurt big time and encourages us to eat it for breakfast every day, so I've got a whole bunch of recipes for it. My favorite treat has to be this one:

1/2 cup Fage 2% (I can't stand the 0%, I'll take the extra 10 or so calories for the 2%)
2 tsp Jello SF pudding mix - cheesecake flavor
Splash of vanilla extract

Total = 87 calories, 5g carbs, 12g protein

It tastes just like cheesecake filling. So good I struggle to believe it's actually good for me. I occasionally do the same thing with SF white chocolate pudding mix.

this also works with a little container of sugar free choc or other pudding mixed with an equal amount of GY. you can also stir in a little protein powder to up the protein.   diane

I sometimes have 1/2 c of GY w/ SF FF pistachio pudding mix, 2 splenda and 4 chopped almonds. I freeze it and it's a nice treat.

Fage 0% plus the SF/FF Jello Cheesecake powder, thinned with a bit of skim milk - LOVE IT.  I wonder if adding the cocoa powder would make it like chocolate cheesecake.

I hated greek yogurt too, but once I dumped cheesecake pudding mix in it, it became my favorite snack. It's almost frosting consistency and super yummy.

Use chocolate protein powder instead!
