The most expensive thing about VSG...And Quite possibly TMI
Thighs were my toughest recovery. I'm actually going in for a revision in September. Plan well for it. If you join the Dr. Sauceda group, I posted a lot in December about my multiple procedures. You don't need to use Dr. Sauceda to join the group.

I'll take a look - Thanks.
I am planning for two weeks off of work. I really can't afford any more. I have people coming to help me though. Luckily I work from home so I can be somewhat liberal with position, clothing, etc.

Please tell me about the compression t-shirts. DH is loking for something to hold in the muffin top. ladies have many options in this area, but so far, we haven't found anything for him. As for supportive underwear. DH went to Sports Authority and purchased specialty running underwear for that purpose. They are not cheap, but we line dry them to make them last longer. The label says to not use fabric softener either, so we don't. If you can, I'd wait until after the LBL so that you can get the sizing right before you invest the funds for good running underwear.
Wal-Mart occasionally sells Starter brand compression shirts for men. My husband says Target sells Champion brand compression shirts, but that the Under Armor and Starter brands are less stretchy so they work better for wls purposes... he said (I'm typing as he talks) that if you get him the Champion ones, go a size down from what he would normally need.
Thanks, haven't found any at out Wal-Mart. I might look online. there is an Under Armor outlet were we were for our Starbucks run yesterday, to bad I didn't know. Oh well, we go down the hill fairly often because we need to shop at Trader Joe's and Sprouts. I'll have him stop in to see waht he can find. I already checked out Tarket for Asset (Spanx) for after my surgery. I already have loose skin from babies and gaining/losing over the years. I'm going to need something to hold it all in.
If you do try Wal Mart again, at our store they are on a rack near the athletic shorts and such. I wouldn't have realized they were compression shirts if my husband hadn't brought them home, because they were in with other moisture-wicking shirts. He said they are called Dry-star Compression shirts.
Honestly, the best ones I have found for lasting the longest were Calvin Klein Core Sculpt. We have a CK outlet in our local outlet mall. I find them there on sale probably one a month or so and get them for $29 a pop. The dry quickly and hold everything in place.
