One year surgiversary TODAY!

One year ago today, I took a step to change my life forever. I absolutely had no idea just how much things would change, but I'm so glad they did! This surgery has made me a better and much different person. Not only is over 170 pounds gone from my body, I have turned 40 (gasp!), uprooted my life, left a job I thought I'd always have, and as unnerving as it all has been, honestly, things couldn't be better. I feel like I have a real future now, instead of just biding time until eventually the weight killed me. It's amazing and wonderful. And my only regret is that I didn't do this for myself a long time ago.

To those thinking about this surgery. Do it. You'll be so glad you did.
