Lesson learned!
I'm 17 days out, on purées/pastes/mushies, have been measuring diligently, and taking about 1/3 cup - about 3 oz- per meal. Today, I let head hunger get the best of me and I ate over 1/2 cup of food at one meal, then had a snack 60 minutes later of another 2 oz. I feel awful! Thankfully, no vomiting, but the pressure is unreal. Will baby my sleeve from now on. Agh! I'm so nervous about vomiting and leaks, you'd think I'd be more cautious. Lesson learned.
(I have a cold, too, so every time I sneeze, I feel it in my incisions *and* sleeve.)
God bless everyone recently sleeved and trying to figure this out. It's hard and it's scary and hopefully, totally worth it.

Seems like we all have to learn the hard way, lol. I tried mashed potatoes with sausage gravy 10 days post op and it came right back up. Haven't done that anymore.

You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!
I'm 11 days out - wanted something that tastes like real food - had bob Evans bean soup broth - yes I strained the bean soup as per my rules. Drank 16 oz broth over a 90 min period but ohhhh - I feel full and a little nauseous. Can't wait for it to go away and then I still have a protein drink (16 oz) to get in before bed time. Yuch - who knew liquids would be so hard.

I am 5.5 weeks out....and get similar feeling if i down a Pure Protein Shake (11 Oz, 35 Gms Protein), in under 30 min, and then drink half a glass of water, or 2-3 Oz of soup or lentils (to make my mouth salty).
We have to take it slow....
Also, noticed that if i eat chicken that is say chinese pan fried (vs oven roasted or grilled), i feel uncomfortable...
