My OH family, spare us some good thoughts please!
So the more they update the track of this storm, the more I am freaking. I am trying to keep my sense of humor about it, but we are literally 20 mins out from where they are predicting landfall and a direct hit. Even the weather channel is setting up in the town over from mine to report directly from the "eye" of the storm.
They have declared a State of Emergency. So any good thoughts, chicken swinging and praying would be appreciated.
I wil definitely send you some good positive energy and hope for the best. Just pretend the storm is named Larry - you've survived one, you'll survive this one :)

Hey Courtney, just a little advice from someone who has been through several major hurricanes....fill all of your Tupperware with water and freeze half of them. You can use these blocks of ice to help keep your freezer and fridge cold for several days should you lose power. The other half you can use for brushing teeth and flushing toilets should you also be withou****er for several days. This advice has served us very well through a couple major hurricanes including Bertha back in the late 90's. We were In the town where she directly hit and had no power or water for about a week. And while groceries are essential, batteries for flashlights and lanterns are just as important. Make sure you have plenty on hand...this is one of those things people overlook a lot. :). Stay safe! My family is in Blatimore and they are hunkering down as well, luckily they have a generator.
