I can eat chicken breast finally......Hooray...LOL...
But seriously, for the longest time, I could only eat chicken thighs, turkey, or beef.....since chicken breasts were too dry for me after surgery....just since yesterday, I can eat a small part of a marinated chicken breast with no problem.
A typical day of food in my life at this point....occasionally, I have a protein shake....many days I also have ground beef in some form, either taco or burger w/ no bun....some days I may eat more snacky foods and less real food....other days I may eat just protein and less snacks...it may not look very balanced, but so far so good..... and my labs have been good...I had a small gain from my lowest weight of 130.......but I am maintaining lower than my original goal weight....I'd still like to do better with my eating, it is always a battle to stay away from chips and candy.....and I'd like to eat more veggies and fruit but still find it doesn't sit well unless I blend it in a shake.

Thanks everyone!
I don't count calories very often....so I'm not totally sure......but I've done it here and there throughout the process.....and I was at 1800 calories in early maintenance period....in weight loss in the very early months I was lucky to get to 800 cals.....when I tracked, I also ate about 80 grams of protein on average & 160 grams of carbs....my carbs mainly came from dairy and condiments....
But I know I get away with eating more when I'm exercising more....in weight loss, I was exercising 5x a week....then I went down to 3x and then down to twice weekly.....last month I dropped down to once a week and gained 2 lbs.....I think it is because I am eating the same but my activity is so minimal....so I'm back to exercising 2x weekly....I will not allow this 2 lbs to become more.
