2 day countdown....

I am 2 days away from surgery, today I start my clear liquid diet, Im working on drinking this bottle of Magnesium Citrate, and the the taste is horrible, any suggestions?

I don't have any real advice for you, but I have always found that rum + anything is better than anything by itself.

I did have a boss that told me when you have to eat a sh*t sandwich, it's best to take big bites. Get it down and you are done. It is not part of your diet going forward.

you have to do a  bowel cleanse? I am soooo sorry. I didn't have to. Glad I didn't! Only the RNYs do in my bariatric program.

Could you add Dasani drops (heard they are good) or Mio drops to it? GL!

I just drank it fast and thank took sips of my flavored water!!! Not the best taste but I at least got it down, and yes its bowl prep :/

Eewwwww...I didn't have to do that...nor liquid diet pre op. Bowel prep is gross. Good luck!!!!

I'm two days out as well and starting clear liquids today too.  At least I didn't have to drink the magnesium, but I still have my pitcher of Miralax Koolaid, so I've been experiencing some of the same "end results!".  At least we won't have to worry about getting constipated after surgery, since there won't be anything solid in there by then!

I bought some cute tiny, tiny little casserole dishes and demitasse spoons yesterday at Home Goods.  The casseroles look like little gratin dishes ==about 1/4 inch high and two inches across.  I think I'll like my food better if it's cuter!

I also got some baby spoons but I didn't want to take those to work!  So the demitasse spoons are a little bigger, but by the time I go back to work, that should be OK.

Hi there, you must be so excited!

I bought the same cute litte white plates.  I bought them corelle at walmart.  I thought they would be easier for me to measure and cute looking.  As per spoons, I thought I would use an expresso spoon.

I am not until 2 pm!  I have to be at the hospital at noon, so I'll be nice and dehydrated by the time they put in my IV -- ICK!
