Pinch me! I must be dreaming!
The scale flashed my weight as 164 pounds this morning. I stared at the scale like a tripped out drug addict for several moments even after the number disappeared then got off and back on just to see it again. I opened up the Obesity Help BMI calculator, tossed in my numbers, and read the following...... "You have a BMI of 24.9. This shows that you are of a normal weight." I admit it.....I cried.....you don't go from being severely morbidly obese to being "normal" without some profound emotional response. 225 pounds gone in just over a year.....pinch me.
This year has been such a ride - I never want to get off....I feel elated and proud beyond measure. I know the old ancient BMI charts don't mean a lot these days but they mean something to me. It's been this constant nagging tool that doctors, dieticians, and other medical professionals have used to measure my health care for so many years....getting to a healthy BMI was just something I had to do for me....
My goal now is to get to 150 pounds but anything beyond this point is really delicious gravy at this point.
Yay !!!!
Amazing !!!
You have gone far above anyones expectations !!!!
Superstar Status !!!!
The BMI chart may be ancient..... but it's still the official measuring stick..... take it and run with it, you earned it !!!!
To all the noobs...... go to school on pinkjellybean..... do what she does !!!!
Way to go pink !!!

Wooo-eeee! Super Congrats are in order (hope you don't mind if I skip the pinching you part! I don't feel that I know you that well!LOL!)
I am so excited for you -- and your post really helped me today! I am three months post-op (I weigh in on Saturday's so I'll post then) -- but for some reason, I've just been feeling like "how will I ever keep this up?" or "Can I really continue to lose?"
Your success is phenomenal! To lose 225 in a year -- what a woman!
