No I do not CrossFit - Similar in that I do circuit training but not nearly as "lifting" intensive as CrossFit - I tried it  but the community aspect at the location by my home was lacking.

Any workout plan is only as valuable as the drive to get you there. What make my gym (www.FNS360.com) so special is the true community aspect. People actually care about each other, if you find that at your CrossFit location it will keep you going back and that the most important part.

As for doing CrossFit - its very technical, so pay close attention to your instructor and you will do great, also - do not expect to go in there and do what everyone else is doing. You are going to be behind, just own that and work twice as hard as everyone else and you will be doing things that you never thought possible in no time at all.

Thanks!

As far as the gym I'm going to try, I've heard it has a great community. A friend has highly recommended it and I'm going to attend the fundamentals classes with his fiance. Not certain if it is for me as I've never been one heavy lifting and I can't run with a darn but I'm always willing to push myself. I was a swimmer in high school/college but these days I prefer Bikram yoga (similar in that you can't compare yourself to others so at least I'll be ok in that aspect, maybe?), but Bikram is an incredible time commitment and it just hasn't been fitting into my schedule well.

and maybe someday, I'll have nice muscle definition like you. :)
