I've been lurking.....

So, I've been lurking on here for a few weeks.......and want to express my thanks for everyone who has shared their experiences.....have learned a lot from you all, thanx!

I am just starting the process.....did the informational session, met with the surgeon, have my mental health eval in a couple of weeks, the initial interview for the endoscopy in 3 weeks, and have been cleared by the cardiologist......still have to get the dr's letter and start the nutritionists visits (3)...................

Most days I'm excited about this journey and the benefits of being healthier. But I also have what I think is a healthy concern/fear about surgery and possible complications/side effects.

I've struggled nearly my entire adult life (I'll be 50 this year.....that's a long time LOL)...and I don't like what I envision if I don't get to a healthy weght.....with some health issues going on, I see VSG as the best option...

Hi Sis....welcome and congratulations!

Wow... only 3 NUT visits!  Lucky.. I think most require 6... and mine would approve the psych visit until I completed 4 NUT visits.

Welcome, I did turn 50 this year and I too saw the future not looking too good! I have no regrets but I was nervous and excited.Life style change certainly but it's not going to kill me!. I had this thought this morning, yes I do have food cravings but I like loosing weight more than the food.
