TGIF!!!

So yay me! I have now completed a whole week of faithfully getting excercise in every day. I used my elliptical every day, except for 2...and on those two days I walked.

So here's the thing...Last week when I mentioned a lunchtime walking group, I had a lot of friends into it. I'm not a walker...I like the pulse pounding sweating cardio machine workouts...just my own preference. If I'm not going to have time to get on my machine, I promised myself I would do something else. Walk it is. The facility I work in is located on a hill...a very high hill. Actually so high that the road to one side of it is blocked off all winter because plows can't make it up and cars/trucks slide down and crash all the time. Nice for daring walkers. I'm no where ready for that hill...but it's a nice goal for someday.

Wednesday at lunch I called for all my friends...long and short...I went solo. Funny thing though...I really didn't want to walk. However when I heard all their excuses and refusals to get out there with me....IT MADE ME WANT TO DO IT MORE! I did...and sooooooo enjoyed it!!! Their excuses sounded like my old ones...and I never want to hear those things come out of my mouth again...so it totally motivated me!! Who'd have thought that I would be the one outside walking the hills???Me??? Alone...and not for the social part...but for the HEALTH of it???!!!

Have a great holiday weekend all!

Peace

~Deb

Congratulations to you, some times those things we accomplish on our own are the most rewarding. And just think all those buddies are probably saying LOOK AT HER GO!!!
