Hey guys... im 7 weeks out today and im still not able to come even close to getting in all of my protein. Shakes are very difficult for me taste wise and I of course cant get it in with the little amount of food i eat. My question is... even when i do try to drink shakes... I can only drink about 2 oz at a time.. and my shake is 11 oz! Is this normal? If i try to drink it throughout the day I will only drink shakes and nothing else.. just to get it in

YES 2 oz is normal, but it should move through fairly quickly. How often are you able to take 2 oz?

To be honest ... im usually dont try after that because the taste nauseates me. So I end up not trying again. Im trying to find other things I can do... but not having much luck cool

I see your other post about salad dressing so I am confused. If you are not getting protein first, you should not be worrying about salad and dressing. Protein first and water. Follow your doctor's plan. You have a new sleeve that you need to take care of properly and your body will have large protein and vitamin needs right now so that your body does not take from your vital organs what you are not taking in.

Have you tried the Premier shakes from Costco? I had a difficult time early out and I found that I could tolerate those shakes. I just took sips over a period of time and tried to get 2 shakes / day, so that I could get at least 60 grams of protein. At that point, I could only get in 1-2 ounces of protein . I had to supplement with shakes.

Yes I have those... I'm not a chocolate lover... So I always get vanilla. Everyone says they like these... They are probably better than the others for me taste wise... But still hard for me to get in!

Everything early on can be difficult to get in. Keep sipping and you eventually get it down. Each week should get easier, as the sleeve swelling decreases and there is more room. I noticed that fluids seemed easier to get in, after about 7 weeks. I had a very difficult 2 months, but it did get better. Just keep on trying. You can do it.

Try the Syntrax! I have Lemonade and Chocolate Truffle. Very good. Try to fruity flavors and mix with 8 oz cold water. No funny smell. No weird taste.

Or try the Chicken Soup Unjury powder and mix with cottage cheese. It was my go to food for at least a week.

Unjury chicken soup was a fave of mine and helped me get through. I found it tasty and soothing.
