Food as a friend, a social crutch, a habit, etc
As I begin this journey, not being very far into it, I see that food has been my friend and comfort in times of stress, anger, even happiness. I think of how my family socializes around a pot of coffee with pie or sweet cake. I see how every celebration we have is centered around some type of food; a baby shower, a wedding, a wake,birthdays, etc. We are programmed to think this way to a certain extent, I guess.
And the habit we fall into to simply eat anything we want, with little or no negative outcome, except to ourselves in the mirror and to our health.
Basically, this is the thinking I will have to conquer... Learning to carry along my own food... Protein packs, gummies, water and everything else in stark moderation.
I am ready.
