Hunger

Do you ever experience hunger after the sleeve? I had surgery April 29th and have still not felt the slightest bit hungry. I had mental hunger one day when my daughter was making sour dough and banana bread but really that was it. I am very happy that I haven't but it really seems weird to eat when the urge is not there.

I haven't felt it yet either and I am 8 months post op.

I think everyone is different - I do feel the hunger at times, but since I eat 6 times a day it's always close to the next meal time!

Yes, I feel hunger. I did immediately after surgery. But it's not nearly as intense as it was before surgery. If I go too long without eating, I get more hungry, and then head hunger kicks in.

I can count on one hand the number of times I have been hungry in the last 3.5 years. if I didn't eat by the clock,I would starve to death :)

I'm almost 7 months post-op and the only time I feel hunger is if I eat carbs or have something with sugar in it. Even then it can be hard to identify as hunger since it's nowhere near as strong as I remember hunger being.

I forget to eat, too, if I'm not careful. My protein powder is my saviour!

like linzeelee, I experience hunger sometimes, especially if I wait too long between meals...it seems like the majority no longer feel hunger post-op...I have head hunger, too, but I can tell the difference...it is true that everyone is different

I have real physical hunger. Wanna know how I can tell the difference? I let it go without feeding it for sometimes hours and the pangs in my stomach get stronger. It's not my head. My doctor left my grehlin in. LOL, but it's not funny.

I hope it doesn't eventually come back for me. I know that I have eaten my emotions in the past but I seem to have a pretty good handle on things now. I plan on attending support groups if I can ever get my schedule right.

Thanks
