...Huh? Your only 3 and a half days or 3 and a half weeks out from getting your sleeve??? If your only 3 days and lost 14 pounds, stop whining lol, If your 3 weeks that is still good! remember it is a percentage of total excess weight loss you want to meet, 10-15% each week not a total of pounds. I did the same thing post op and I'm 3 and a half weeks out as well. I was freaking out about it, I guess I thought I would just drop tons of weight each week and had some unrealistic goals. I figured if I lost x amount pre op it would be even faster post op. In hindsight a lot of it was water, and not eating out 3-4 times a week anymore would cause anyone to drop drastically. IF you did the post op diet for 7 weeks and lost 25 pounds that averages out to 3.5 pounds a week...thats still less then the 4 your dropping now. 4 pounds a week is nothing to sneeze at! That will give you 16 pounds a month, or almost 50 in 3 months!!!!!!! It adds up fast! Congrats and keep up the good work.

What are you unhappy with?
You lost more in the pre-op diet because of the water weight...it happens every time someone starts a diet or whatever....a big chunk of "weight" comes off initially...
Ive had to learn the hard way but there's two ways to approach this journey - you can be Debbie Downer and always want more/be unhappy or you can focus on the positive side of things and be happy with your progress. It sounds simple even though I know it's extremely difficult but....it makes a huge difference later on down the road. Just some food for though.

Why aren't you happy about that? The sleeve isn't a magic bullet - it's a tool. In those 7 weeks prior to surgery, how hungry were you compared to now? Would you be able to keep that diet up for life?
You've done so great - focus on the goodness rather than comparing it to your old life! If your old lifestyle worked, you wouldn't have needed surgery. Remember, this is a lifestyle change, not a temporary diet.
Now chin up - many people would kill to have lost 4 pounds a week!
Believe me, I am not a "Debbie downer"
If I was losing 3.5 lbs per week at 1500 - 2000 calories , over 100 carbs and little to no exercise, why wouldn't I expect to lose more at 600 calories, less than 40 carbs and cardio kickboxing and weight/resistance band training along with 2 miles walking every day?

In my opinion, it's probably because your body can't just lose weight rapidly without a break or slowing down at some point. Plus, the less you weigh, the less calories your body requires.
I get where you are coming from, but try to stay positive. I lost 108ish lbs in the 5 1/2 months before surgery... which was almost an average of like 20 lbs a month. I ate 1600 calories per day, way more carbs... and I'm pretty much losing at the same rate as I did before. Yes, that's frustrating.... Yes, in the time of stalls it can make you wonder why this is happening and why bother having surgery... BUT, this tool will help us in the long run... it will help us control our intake... lose weigh consistently over time and hopefully, eventually help us to get to goal and help us to maintain the loss over time. I decided to go forward with surgery because I didn't think I could do that on my own.
Like I said, I'm losing at the same rate as before surgery and eating about 1/3 less, but I also weigh much less than what I started. Keep it all in mind and hang in there!

You know what, I also lost about 25 lbs before I had the surgery, and I had similar feelings of - well then why am I having surgery - but honestly, I was already hitting "diet fatigue." If I hadn't had the surgery, I would have been off the bandwagon by now and gaining back. So look at what you did pre-op as a great way you jump started your loss!!
My only question - how on earth are you doing that exercise 3.5 wks post-op? My dr said to wait 4 wks before exercise, and I don't have the energy to walk 10 blocks!!
