7 Month Progress, NSVs, and Onederland!
In general, I feel absolutely fantastic and WLS remains, to this day, the best decision I have ever made for myself. Sure, there are days that I still struggle with protein shakes, grueling workouts, water intake, and my supplements but I'm able to remind myself frequently that these are just small potatoes (excuse the food reference) compared to all the pay offs. I feel like I have my life back and I couldn't be happier!!! :)
This weekend, in particular, has been filled with so many positive things in terms of my weight loss journey! I hit my 7 month surgiversary. As of today, my weight will forever have a 1 in front!!! :) I'm officially down 83lbs and gunning for the 100lb mark with gusto! Never one to overlook NSV's, I had several of those too. I've lost 22.5 inches between my butt, waist, and chest. Oh, and I have collarbones. Yesterday, I ran my second 4 mile distance race. The first was on July 4th, 2013 and my time was 51:40. Yesterday, my time was 44:07. That's 7 minutes!!! The Disney Princess Half Marathon I'm signed up for this coming February seems more and more doable every day. Instead of celebrating with food like I would have pre-surgery, I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure then wore a size large dress from the gap on a date ;) Pics are on my profile.
Thank you to everyone out there who has been a source of information AND inspiration - it has been absolutely invaluable to know where to turn when I need support so far throughout this life long journey!!!
