Loosing Slow

I had the sleeve on 8/29, when I went to my two week appt I had lost 17lbs. I was extremly happy! Now 2 weeks later and 1 month post surgery I am at 20lbs down. In the last two weeks and from when I started eating I only lost 3lbs. I am littl discouraged about it. Has this happened to anyone else! HELP!

Deep breaths.  If you are following your plan, getting your protein and fluids in, you will start losing again very soon.  You can search "three week stall" and you'll find tons of other posts with the same concern.  I stalled at two weeks post-op for two weeks (lost 20 pounds in the first month).  It happens to most of us.  Just keep following your plan, take some deep breaths, and you will be fine.

Where can I search for that?

At the top of this website there is a blue banner.  Look to the right:  you'll see the terms "search", "messages" and "my account".  Click on search, type in "3 week stall" and wait for the million hits to come up.  You'll see you're not the Lone Ranger ;-)

I did not have the three week stall but have read many (many) posts where it's quite common.  The cause seems to be a combination of your body getting re-hydrated following surgery (yes, it can take >2 weeks) and the shift to mushy food versus liquids.  Even though I did not have that stall, my nutritionist warned me that it was common even before my surgery.

My stall occurred at week 9 and lasted 4 weeks.  I did nothing different, keep on the same food and exercise as every week prior, and just waited it out.  It eventually broke so keep the faith.  If you stay on plan the stall will break even if it takes a while.

thanks! def frusterating I feel like I am doing everything I should. I know I can increase my exercise, but than again, most people can. I work full time, have a part time job, 2 small children, and 2 classes and life is busy so trying to fit in any "me" time is a challenge, but this is soo frusteraing!

Losing it slow may be a good thing.  Maybe it will minimize hair loss.  I hope I lose it slow
