Seven Months Out
I feel obligated to post on my 7 month surgiversary. I have had so many changes, so many ups and downs over the past 7 months (as I'm sure we all have). Here is what I've learned:
Coming here daily is important because a lot of what I'm feeling / going through (both positive and negative) are reaffirmed on this site. I know that I'm not alone in this journey. I have "met" people on this site that have been so incredibly supportive over the past 7 months.
I learned to be motivated by the Always On Plan People and not to judge myself too harshly. Everyone's journey is different but our goals are the same. Everything in life should be a learning experience.
My bad eating habits are just in remission I am a recovering fat girl and I need to stay vigilant.
I got a lot of basic education about eating and nutrition and there are many ways to skin a cat. (I'm just going to try to skin mine with less than 800 calories, 90+ grams of protein, and as few carbs as humanly possible).
My recent NSVs:
I ran my first 5k in 34:37. I know it's not about competition, but I did a pretty damn good job!
I measured my waist. I'm 5'11" my waist is 30 inches. Never thought I'd see that day!
I have lost over 100 pounds and I have reached Onederland (oh wait, that's a scale victory!)
All in all, it's been a hell of a ride. It's the best decision that I've ever made!
Big smiles your way- doing wonderfully!!! Continue to ride that puppy!
