Freezing!!
I usually run normal to hot however since surgery I have been uncharacteristically cold as well, especially my hands and feet. I will be interested in hearing from others. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago 11/25. Could it be the low/no carb diet?
As far as what helps, a hot shower or my boyfriend wrapping around me, rubbing my arms and snuggling me under the covers. During the day, it doesn't matter how much I bundle up, I am cold to the core.
It has come up a few times in the forum and seems to be a fairly common occurrence.
i"m right there with you. I can't remember being as cold since I was a kid when I was was also much lighter.

YES totally. This has come up with my support group at my doctor's office too, no clue on what causes it but it seems pretty common. Everyone was nodding their heads when someone brought up being cold all the time. This is what I've done:
Bought a heated throw blanket at Walmart for $20
Wool "outdoor" socks at Costco
Bought my first pair of leggings to wear under my now loose fitting jeans (yay! I smell a NSV)
thermal long sleeved shirt to wear under a shirt or by itself - it has a cute design. Found it in the pj section at Burlington Coat Factory for $9
new cushy slippers to go with my wool socks
commandeered my husbands military grade wool blanket for nights on the couch or at my desk!
I'm thinking about trying those hand and feet warmers packaged for hikers or people who work outside. I'll post if I do and its helpful or not. So far I've got the coldness under control with the layers, wool socks, and heated blanket. I have the heater in my house up to 72 and my husband starts complaining because he's hot all the time. I put the heated throw on my side of the bed (like a twin size elec blanket) and he runs the ceiling fan in our room. Great combo... lol. Seriously. We're both happy. My feet are like icicles unless I've got them wrapped up in wool or heated. I also have been wearing my leggings under my husband's sweat pants at home too. Overkill? I don't care as long as I'm warm. And being single digits outside doesn't help either!
I think it's because we're not stoking the fires like we used to. Our bodies were so busy trying to burn all the fuel we put into them that it kept us hot. Now it has a much easier time with the small amounts we're eating we're not cooking from the inside anymore. I'm freezing all the time now, too and fortunately live alone so I can crank the heat up as much as I want!

That's what my surgeon told me...that I don't have the insulation that I used to have so that's why I'm freezing all the time.
