Some perspective, please!
So today I had my 2 week follow up appt with my surgeon/NUT. I had been feeling like I was failing because I had a couple days (yes days, not weeks, not months, days) where my weight stayed the same. I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. When I get there, they weigh me, and I've lost 16 lbs. since surgery 12 days ago and almost 30 since starting my pre-op diet. I've been a twit. That's drastic weight loss. They actually told me I need to work on increasing my calories so I have more energy. They also said I had lost 60% more than they expected me to, so yeah, sometimes we need a little more perspective, and to give ourselves a break - look at the big picture rather than yesterday vs. today.
I won't say you're a twit, but silly, okay. We all do the same thing right after surgery, thinking we're going to magically lose all our weight the first month (and that's what it seems like when you see some of the success stories out here, right?).
You're doing fabulous Annie - keep up the great work!
Nah, I wouldn't say you were a twit either. The early postop time can be exhausting and confusing and frustrating, so you're right in the curve there. :)
Hang in there -- you're doing fine!
