Salad!
Salads were frowned on so I never touched them. Still don't, but will eat veggies separately outside of "salads".
The lettuce (and other components to some degree) tends to be all volume without the right nutritional payoff. Remember, your first weeks are all about getting sufficient protein in your day, and it's best to do that without shakes or supplements for better hunger management. In order to do that you'll need to layoff salads and make higher protein choices given the restriction. Also, lettuce has the ability to create some blockage in the sleeve.
Of course, this being the internet, for every one piece of advice one way, there's another who has been eating salads from day one and swears by their miraculous healing powers LOL.

I'm almost 6 months out and just had my first salad. It was only 1/3 cup grilled chicken salad. 95% grilled chicken and 5% lettuce. Because our main goal is protein, salad is not a great option when you have such a small stomach. I had no problem digesting the lettuce, but my salad was basically grilled chicken with a lettuce garnish.
I was told to wait until about 3 months out. I eat them all the time now made mostly of protein, very little greens, of course. It's been about month of having them and every salad I have still tastes like the best thing EVER! I, too, craved the crunch of romaine like crazy.
One of my favorites (before & after surgery) is romaine with chili-lime chicken (boneless skinless thighs as I cannot tolerate chicken breast), black beans, cheddar cheese, a tiny dollop of plain fat free Fage Greek yogurt, and Cholula hot sauce. To Die For and very high in protein, low in calories!
A new salad topping for me recently to add a bit of crunch with protein is a tablespoon of roasted soy nuts. YUM.
6-8 weeks I think... but I have a sleeve of steel. Salad can really mess with a lot of folks early out, so tread lightly.

I was told to wait until about the 4th month. It might be to rough of the tummy before that.
