Antibiotics?

My doctor told me that alcohol is something that will be absorbed and hit me much harder following this surgery, so to avoid it, but does the same apply for antibiotics or other meds?  I have taken only one dose of amoxicillan for my sinus infection and it seems that it is already helping me to feel better.  Is this just wishful thinking?

Probably wishful thinking.  Alcohol hits you harder for two reasons that work together plus a third: (a) it's a liquid, so easily absorbed anyway, (b) with the small stomach, more of the alcohol is in direct contact with the stomach lining than previously, making for better absorption rate, and (c) lastlying, as you loose weight, alcohol naturally affects you quicker because you body mass to alcohol ratio is so much higher.
