10 Months - With Pics!

It's been 10 months since my revision to VSG, and 8 years since my lap band surgery.  I couldn't be happier - I'm learning to make good choices, and when I don't, I own it.  My next 5K is at the end of this month - I'm still walking most of the way, but my goal is to run one by the end of summer!  I started 8 years ago at 223 pounds and plateaued at around 180 for years with the band - and was a walking misery billboard with vomiting, reflux, etc.  Started in a tight size 18 pants, and now am size 6.  I plan to lose another 10-15 pounds to give myself some wiggle room, which I'm track to do before my 1 year surgiversary.  

In summary - VSG was the best decision I ever made - it gave me a kick start, but I also know how hard I worked to keep it going!

2010 - I plateaued at this weight for years

Today was a warm day (84) in Texas, so I celebrated with a Spring time look!

Congratulations!  You look amazing.  I am 8 days post op and cannot wait to wear white pants.  

White pants and horizontal stripes - two items I put on my bucket list, neither of which I had worn for 40 years!

Kekosmom, this was kind of my way of "coming out of the closet" and embracing who I am, where I am.  It was always "when I lose 50 pounds", or "when I lose 10 more pounds" I'll wear white pants and tuck my shirt in.  When that scale hit normal BMI range I figured it was time to play!  

And thanks for the kind words - much appreciated.  You're well on your way to your own pair of white pants!

Looking good, girl! I'm currently on the lookout for a cute pair of white skinny jeans!!
