1 month out and nervous!!

I'm 1 month out and I'm nervous- I seem to be able to tolerate most everything I eat, so long as I chew it well.  I'm able to eat bigger portions then I thought I would be able to.  For example, within about 1-1 1/2 hour sushi lunch I had miso soup and 6 gyozas ( which were much smaller then potstickers- but still). Yesterday, I didn't have the mid morning "snack" so by lunchtime I was really hungry- I bought a fat free tuna kit ( 150 cal) and I was still hungry.  This pattern seem to continue.  Could I have stretched my stomach out already?!?

No, you haven't stretched your stomach out.   But at 1 month out all the nerves that were cut in your stomach still haven't healed so please do NOT trust your gut to tell you when you're full or hungry...it's not a reliable reporter at this point.

Make sure you measure and weigh everything and don't eat more even if you feel "hungry".  Stick to your eating schedule and make sure your meals/snacks are at least 2-3 hours apart.  Anything closer and you are grazing.

At this point in time the hunger is either head hunger or acid working it's nasty magic.  If you continue to feel that "hunger" then talk to your doctor about getting on a PPI.

A PPI is a protein pump inhibitor that shuts down excess acid production in your gut.  Things like Protonix (prescription), Prevacid, etc.  They are more powerful than acid reducers such as Tums or Rolaids.  Tums, etc. only act on acid once you've produced it; PPIs help to prevent the production of acid in the first place.

sounds like you are eating a lot of carbs. Eating carbs seems to allow me to eat more carbs and actually more of everything else too. It is that way for a lot of ppl who have had Wls.

You might try leaving off all the white carbs, rice, crackers, etc and only eating protein and non starchy veggies for a while.

Eating carbs

also makes us hold water to process the carbs. Water weight can show as much as 3-4 # on the scale.

I would wonder why you're eating gyoza at 4 weeks out.  They're not exactly healthy foods!

I agree that your stomach is not to be trusted right now, so measure your food and eat what you measure out.  My NUT also tells me that meals shouldn't last longer than 30 minutes.
