Finally on my way!

It has taken a long time to get to this point. I first logged onto this site in 2006! Came close to having WLS and backed out at the last minute. At the time I had issues with the RNY, but no one offered the sleeve in this part of New Mexico, and my insurance would not cover the only doctor in Lubbock Texas who performed the procedure.

I gave up on it for awhile, lost 100 pounds during that time, but need help and a lot of support to lose the rest.

The sleeve is now offered here in my neck of the woods, the insurance does cover it, and after I attend the seminar on the 8th, we start processing the paperwork; I am so psyched!!!

Same here hon,and thank you! it took a long time to get to this point, but looking back I wasn't ready.

That may sound odd, but it's not just a physical journey, there is so much involved emotionally, mentally and spiritually with undergoing weight loss surgery. For the longest time it seemed to be the cure to all my problems. While it will most certainly help with so many of them, there are still going to be issues to deal with. That being said, I'm psyched!!

It doesn't sound odd at all!  There's so much that goes into this and being ready for it.  :D
