Back to Basics

One of the great things about this forum is the number of people who have "been there, done that."  Drawing from that wisdom. I have been hovering around 10 pounds from goal for a month. Not eating anything I shouldn't but definitely eating more calories than when I was shedding pounds (between 1000-1200 instead of 400-600 with some indulgences.)  So, I'm not gaining, just not losing. So, I am going back on my preop plan until I drop some pounds. Shakes and broth and two yogurts a day. My size 36 jeans are loose, so shooting for 179 and a 34 waist!  Down from 270 and size 42 - and those were worn below the belly, not around the waist. Yes. I have a waist!

I would just go back on the plan you used to lose the rest of your weight < a little more exercise might help you over the hump the last few lbs are the hardest because there is less of you to burn cal.

You might be better served just by sticking to lean proteins and smaller portions, since it seems like portion size is the culprit for you.

I am resetting back to basics as well after a weekend in NYC.  I'm not going back to liquids, but just focusing on protein and trying to keep calories closer to 800 than 1000.  I want to avoid going on crash cycles like before.

Also a nice hard workout does a lot for getting your head back in the game.
