CONFUSED

When people list what they have lost since surgery are they counting what the have lost since the sleeve or since the beginning? I have seen people doing it both ways and it can be confusing. I was wondering what kind of weight people have lost in 2 months since surgery. I have only lost 32 pounds in 2 months, will be 2 months on the 21st. I don't know how well this is? I am walking 5 days a week and doing strengthening 3-5 days a week but it just seems to be falling off slowly. I don't know maybe I am expecting things to happen to quickly. I have went from a size 34 pants to a 20 so I am dropping sizes. I am just wondering where other people sit and if I am in the so called range if there is any such thing.

You've averaged 4 pounds a week and you're worried?!  That's awesome! How much did you expect to lose?!

i know it's easier said than done, but try not comparing yourself to other people. You're you, you'll lose weight at the best pace for you if you stick to your plan. :)

Thank you for your support. Truthfully I don't know how much I expected to lose. I just read some of the items in forum and some people lose so much more. I honestly have to try to not compare my weight loss to anyone else. I will continue to stick to the plan I have going and maybe even add some swimming.

For every person who has had faster loss than you, I'm sure there's one who has had slower!  I'm averaging 2.5/week, for example.  I remind myself that it's not a race - I'll reach my goal, even if it takes 2 years to get there.

I agree plus the slower weight loss I believe allows time for skin to tighten up. Good luck in your journey

That is a lot of weight to loose in that period of time. Avoid comparing your weight loss to anyone else. We all loose weight at different rates. If I am eating to plan and moving then I am successful. My clothes sizes dropped. I still get friends who tell me that i need to "downgrade" the size that I am wearing. That means what I am wearing is too big! I stopped letting the scale have all the power. What is amazing is that I have lost weight at a great pace and now looking to determine my goal weight.

I agree that I need to stop comparing my weight loss to others. I have a hard time getting the right size clothes since I am use to wearing baggy clothes all the time. It will certainly take some getting use to. I want to lose the weight at a pace where I wont have too much excess skin although there are areas of my body that I know I wont be able to avoid that. Thank you for your support

You've gone from a 34 to a 20  -> You are getting results!

My Monthly losses are in my signature (25+17 = 42 in the first 2 months but I only lost 18 in preop dieting so I had some catching up to do!)
