My surgery is tomorrow and I only  did liquids not clear. Does anyone know if that will prevent me from having the sleeve?

I wasn't required to do any type of pre-op diet. I ate a full meal the night before my surgery.

Mine is scheduled for 7/3/14.  I can have milk, protein shakes, broth etc.  Not all of those are clear but nutritionist said ok.  Good luck!!

Depends on your doc, just make sure you tell them. If your really worried and you have a long way to travel I would call the hospital first thing in the morning, I also had to do clear liquids and Popsicles the day before surgery, the thing about full liquids is they are thicker, some milk based and could be a choking hazard, better safe then sorry be honest to the docs about exactly what you ate, better safe then sorry, even if you would have to reschedule.......,every doc is different but I would def give them a call!

I would tell your surgeon / nurse first thing. Actually my nurse asked when I ate last and what. Every program is different and even every surgeon who works within the programs I think!

My program had me do all liquids up until the day before surgery. The day before surgery clear liquids. So it was only one day of clear. Then I had to do the bowel prep that evening.

One big thing I couldn't have was anything red or grape! So if you did have that you need to tell them that too.

All of my pre-op instructions were clearly laid out in my plan.  I had to do full liquids a week prior and nothing by mouth up to 12 hours before my surgery.  I would call the surgeons office and ask.
