3 month update with pic!
Hi, all! Today is my 3 month surgiversary and I can't believe how time has flown. I've had a relatively easy time as far as tolerating food (with the exception of broccoli - will have to wait on that one a while longer!). I'm starting to really notice changes in my energy level - for the better - and people are starting to notice the weight loss. I just started the couch to 5k program and signed up for my first post-op 5k in October. I've walked a 5k in the past but I'm hoping I'll actually be able to run (or at least run/walk) this one.
So far, I'm down about 58 pounds total (including pre-op liquid diet for 2 weeks) and 45 pounds since surgery. I didn't take my measurements until after I'd already started losing weight, but I'm down about 14 inches so far - including 4.5 inches from my waist and 5 inches off my hips.
My main goal for this month, other than weight loss and increasing my fitness, is that I'm hoping that I'll start obsessing less about all the numbers (calories, carbs, weight, etc.) and settle into more of a routine.
Here is a progress pic (the picture on the left was taken a few weeks after surgery, so not my highest, but I'm wearing the same outfit in both pics):
Wow. You are looking great. What a nice change in 3 months. I am so happy for you. (and it only gets better!)
best wishes,
Carol
