Eat Slower Pro App

I just downloaded this app to time my bites for after my surgery. I am wondering how long should I wait before taking another bite?  I'm told that I should expect to take 30 minutes to eat an ounce. Does this sound about right?

In my limited experience ( 3 weeks post op) I eat 2oz in about 40 min. I'm interested to hear what others have to say. And congrats on being so pro-active!!

Thanks for posting about this app. I downloaded it myself. I'm PreOp so not much help for you on your question.

I can't help with the timing you asked about, but I wanted to let everyone know about another app i found, Bariatric Timer. I don't know if it's better since I'm still pre-op, but it looks good!

I am afraid I am not much help for the OP as my surgery isn't until 9/16, but I am downloading the eat slower pro Ap and will start to use it starting at dinner (I wolfed down my lunch just now reading through these post and I need to STOP THAT NOW!).  I also looked into Bariatric Timer and that looks like it will be super helpful right after you get the surgery as it tells you when you can eat or drink (i.e., so you can be sure to stop drinking water 30 minutes before a meal and not start again until 30 minutes after).

I just set the timer on my phone for 30 mins at the end of a meal, no need for a special app. Also, since we retain our pyloric valve, there's no reason to stop drinking 30 mins before eating.
