Pain question- 2 weeks out

I had my surgery on July 28th.  I too had/have the searing stabbing pain.  It is very slowly leaving.  I talked with my surgeon today and he said my area of pain is where the stomach was removed and that a long stitch is used there to keep the the abdominal wall together.  That the stitch would dissolve and the pain would subside.  He said that some people dissolve quicker than others.  Hang in there I am still hurting but it is getting better.  I saw no relief with tylenol or the pain meds they gave me.  Think it just has to have time.
