My mouth taste like meat

I'm now 4 weeks and 2 days. While the weight is coming off (including pre-op, down 34 pounds) I just generally feel blaaaaahhhhh!!!! I had to go back to work Tuesday. I have a sedentary job but I am still exhausted. I also started back in the gym lifting weights. Where the hell did all my strength go? When did 5 pound dumbbells exhaust me??

My biggest problem is that I am tired of eating. If I could just skip eating for a day I would be so happy. My mouth just tastes like meat. All I eat is chicken and turkey and I'm about to flip out. My mouth just tastes gross. It is making it hard for me to eat anything. Maybe I'll get some seafood and leave the bird alone for a few days.

I'm trying to talk myself off the ledge about this. I know it will be over soon and I will feel better. Shoot, the misery of the first days at home are already a distant memory. I know this will be also. I just had to whine and verbally cry since I don't have the strength to muster up any real tears.

I'm 5 weeks out, have no strength, throw up frequently, and only eat meat.  My NUT said to not eat beef or pork because they are hard to digest, but she said I could try if I wanted.  I've been adding spaghetti sauce to some things to make them taste better/different.  Good luck.  I hope you feel better soon!

I am 5 weeks out and know how you feel. Try adding some tuna or ground beef for a change. Chicken is a very easy go to but don't limit yourself to this. Yogurt and cottage cheese is protein packed as well.Try also adding some spice to your food. I like Old Bay seasoning on my chicken and turkey. Tomato sauce also is good. Being tired of eating is definitely one of my biggest gripes. Seems we need to think about when to eat or what to eat ALL the time. Will get better we know. Hang in there.

I'm 4 weeks out and still on puree for the next 2 weeks so all I eat is cottage cheese. I am feeling guilty because I'm having a hard time getting all my protein in. I used food and eating as a form of entertainment and it is really hitting me now. My mouth also tastes awful, I think fat burning does that though, so it may be because we are all in weight loss mode. Everyday is a learning experience!
