Hi my OH family, please allwo me to vent for a moment because I am steaming right now. So back on 8/16 I have my consult for VSG. Dr recommended that I have a Psych eval and a sleep study. Then on 8/24 I was approved for surgery from my insurance so all I needed to do was get the sleep study and the psych eval done and I would get my dates for my PATs and my surgery date. Then on 8/29 I find out my doctor had orthopedic surgery and would be out for 6 weeks.  (I don't want to hear that!) So I was told by his receptionist that he would not be scheduling surgeries again until End of October into November. Ok well I guess I can deal with that so I get my eval done and my sleep study done. I call today 9/9 to make sure the receptionist got everything and to ensure that I would be one of the first people on the surgery schedule and she tells me that the sleep center has NOT sent over my sleep results!!  (WHAT! I was ready to karate chop that sleep center Doctor!) The receptionist tells me the doctor was in on Monday and only approved the files that were complete and since my file was not one of those, I have to wait until 9/29 when he is back in the office again!  Now I am stuck waiting again. But this time, I am going to drive that sleep center CRAZY  until they confirm they have sent my results over to my doctor! ........Waiting is the Worst!!

the hoops-the hoops; I think it's a cosmic test...how badly do you want this?  I went thru the same thing; different details..same theme...Hang in there- be persistent, and DON"T give up.  It is all so worth it.  there is something to be learned in all this- what?, only God knows....

Ha Ha! When you find out the lesson learned, let us all know! I am definitely going to stick with it and even though I won't be all that patient I will follow through with this to the end....when I am sitting on the losers bench in my journey to the new me! Thanks for the encouragement.

When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's difficult to remind yourself that your initial objective was to drain the swamp!

I know how you feel I too am up in the air of when my surgery date would be or even if I'm approved at this point I only have been approved for the supervised weight loss program. All this waiting is driving me crazy how you have to wait six weeks for the supervised weight loss program. Good luck and God bless I hope everything works out for you

When I was in your shoes, I felt the same way. Lots of people on these boards told me my surgery day would be here before I knew it. They were right!  Try to be patient - it'll be here before you know it!
