do you count protein shakes as liquid, eating for fuel
Do you include your protein shakes in your liquid count? How about soup and things like that? I have only been counting water, tea, coffee and broths towards my liquids, and not my shakes.
Also, how long did it take you after the surgery to have the mentality that food is to fuel your body and not for pleasure? Or do you feel food is for both? I like to eat, I like the textures, smells and the flavors of some foods, and I am hoping I won't like this TOO much after surgery. I don't know if I will ever feel like food is only for fuel.

Of course. Those things are liquids and count toward our daily requirement. Technically, the liquids in foods count toward our daily requirement as well... but we don't get a lot of that due to our limited capacity so it'd be pretty worthless to take it into account, in my opinion!
I hope that I never get to the point where food is just to fuel my body and not for pleasure. I love eating and hope that I always will! Otherwise, I'd just buy Soylent and do that.
