Does anyone use over the counter meds like this.  If so what do you use?

I started on Prilosec OTC, but requested a prescription when I realized how much less expensive that would be.

I started off with liquid prescription prilosec and then switched to OTC prilosec.  Then I stopped taking it.  About a month ago I had a weird acid thing and took OTC nexium for two weeks - now I'm good to go again.

My GERD is back bad so right now I take the generic form of Zantec morning and night and Omperizol at dinner.  also use Mylanta & Gaviscon when needed. Hoping to get it fixed next week so I'm not tied to all this. One mess up and I am introuble for 2 days.

I went from all those mentioned above that did nothing for me to the Nexium 24HRS once a day. It has done wonders for me, I'm still drinking them, hope to quit by the one year mark.

I was given powdered Nexium in the hospital after my DS surgery. My insurance wouldn't pay for the powdered when I got home so my dr. prescribed omeprezole which is a generic Nexium. I just open the capsules and swallow the granules. I take it 2x per day and it helps but I felt better on the powdered Nexium.
