Tomorrow marks three weeks for me. Yay! I have been telling everyone how my headaches have gone away! Well too much bragging and I should have known better. Today my monthly visitor showed up and bam, I have a bad headache!! In addition, I have not had ANY cravings or been hungry at all. Well today I have all kinds of cravings!! I hope this goes away once my visitor is gone. What have the rest of you ladies experienced post op?? I'm being punished for bragging!! ;)

For me that's been normal.  My "Friend' arrived last week and Friday mid-afternoon, bam! a migraine.

On Tuesday I was so hungry I would have chewed my own arm off.

Seems hormonal to me - and short-lived (thank goodness)

The up side for me is I'm off my migraine meds (used to take topirimate daily).  This was the first one post-op, and one in 3 months is manageable.

I'd say brag away!  You're doing great :-)  If only we were in charge of our hormones

My TOM is pretty much the same as it was pre vsg. Maybe I hold a bit less water weight. I still get terrible cravings the week leaving up to and during.

I've always been a big eater so I never really thought about cravings!  It is my TOM too and your talk of cravings is really making me feel better because I couldn't figure out why I was all of the sudden wanting things that I don't usually want.  I had my first bite of candy the other day and yesterday I ate a french fry out of my kid's happy meal.  I'm glad I only ate one of each!

This is the part of being a woman that stinks! Guys don't get it! I'm glad I could keep my craving healthy with guac and beans!! I hope they go away in a few days. Cravings are hard to fight!

My monthly friend arrived this week too. And I do find myself wanting to snack. I've been great till now. It's like it just waited until I was on my own for food choices and then decided to hit me with my womanhood and all the munch cravings that go with it. Not to mention a slow down in my weight loss, thanks mother nature.

Congrats on being three weeks out :)

It's normal for the first few periods to be horrible post-op due to hormone dumping.  I've been grateful that I take seasonique, since nothing ever got really bad for me.  Aside from the desire to munch ALL THE THINGS.
