Everyone's post-op plan varies/update
I've been reading a lot of post here about their post-op plans. For me I was told week 1-4 full liquids whi*****ludes 1/2 cup of s/f pudding, yogurt, cream of wheat, or creamed soups without chunks, for my meals. Then 2 protein shakes per day and 64oz. of water per day. I was able to get everything in except the 64 oz. of water per day but If I count the milk I use for my shakes as liquid I get in most of the 64 oz. of liquid. I was able to do most of this from day 2 post-op . I'm am starting week 2 now and still not up to 64 oz. of water yet but 3 cups away so I'm getting there. They also said don't weigh yourself when you get home. Because of the gas they pump into you they said I would gain weight but after 3 days I got curious and found I lost 5 pounds. I'm going for my 1 week check up tomorrow and wanted to know how I did and found I gained 2 pounds this morning. So I guess I will be staying away from the scale for a while. I also am back to my regular exercising now. I am finding that in the morning I feel great but as the day goes on If I've gone out that day I get tired and need a nap. I'm doing everything the doctor and Nutritionist told me to do and looking forward to a continued weight loss.
Glad things are going well!
