Hi everyone!
Greetings and Happy (late) Thanksgiving!
Over the last few days, I've reflected on quite a few things, and it occurred to me that it's been far too long since I've been here. I wanted to check in and share some exciting updates :)
1) In June, my husband and I took a trip to Disney World and had an absolute blast! We stayed onsite at a value resort (Pop Century, to be exact), shared a meal at a sit-down restaurant once per day and made our meal plans work the rest of the time, and came back home a week later at pretty much the same weights that we left at.
2) I started a new job in August at an awesome school! For the first time in years, I feel at home among my coworkers. I no longer have a target on my back, two-faced administrators, or coworkers who are out to throw me under a bus because they are too busy trying to save their own skin.
3) And this is the most important one of all.... I'm 21 weeks pregnant!!! Our son is due on April 13, 2015. :)
Just a few pictures from the last few months:

Sorry the pictures are so big... lol!
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! Baby Luke is healthy, and I'm doing great... although adjusting to being pregnant has been a huge shock, since I had honestly mentally prepared myself years ago for the thought that we'd never conceive... my cycles were way out of whack when I was heavier, so I was a little shocked by how easily this happened! :)
I've missed you all! XOXO
Courtney
Well, it sure is good to see you post. CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!!! What wonderful news. I know you had been considering starting a family.
It is also good to hear that you found a school where you fit well. I started the year at a charter school an hour away, then got an offer with an online school. Now, I teach from home. It has lots of administrative tasks, but so far, I like it. It is good that we both found full-time work.
Oh, you two look great.
Linda! :)
It's great to hear from you too! I hope all is well. I'm so glad to hear that you're also working full-time. I would love to teach from home, but if I can't do that, at least I'm in a great school with friends.
And thanks! We couldn't be more excited. I'm just now getting to the point where I feel him kick... I can't wait to meet him! Matt finally suggested it was time to start trying when I found work in January, and our trip to Disney was like a last couples-only trip before we got pregnant. It's unreal how quickly everything happened.
Wonderful news! Congrats to you and your husband on the little one!!!
