I've been super stressed lately. I'm trying to go back to school at the beginning of next month,  work full time as a nurse,  find new health insurance,  and lose my last 15-20lbs.

I've been struggling with back issues for a bit now. Sometimes I come home and cry because it's been hurting so bad. Today I had a set of six nerve blocks in my lower back....let me tell you!  It wasn't fun.

My nurse was so wonderful. She read in my history about my surgery and was amazed,  said she couldn't even picture me at my old weight. As she was putting on my blood pressure cuff she was astounded with how small my arms were,  and so happy for me that my vitals were great. Then when I wad in the recovery room,  I was absolutely freezing. She good me such a warm blanket and rubbed my back.

Even though I wasn't happy about my back,  it was so encouraging to meet a stranger that was so happy for me and proud. I felt so good about my weight loss that I came  home and cooked some delicious,  protein-filled food to nourish my body.

It was just the pickmeup I needed :-)

So very nice! Congratulations on your loss and all of your hard work. I hope your back starts to feel better! Kindness is contagious and I'm glad she helped you get through an otherwise stressful situation! Small arms, I can't even imagine! Best wishes to you!

You're a nurse (so am I).  That's what we do. :)  I'm so glad you had a great experience with a great nurse!

Also, I'm so sorry for your back problems.  I worked about 10 years at the bedside in critical care and that was enough for my body to handle.  I now have a desk job.  Is that an option for you to consider?

I had a similar experience when I was in the hospital with my kidney stones.  The doctors and nurses could not believe my success with the sleeve.  My wife showed them pictures of me from last year and they were shocked.  Almost everyone that came in said something about hearing about my success.
