I've been so cold this winter,  my bones feel like painful ice. The other day I went out and bought a full sized microplush grated blanket for $40.

SO AWESOME.

It is keeping me so nice and warm in bed. And my cat loves it! If you're on the fence about buying one,  it's great!

One of my best investments was fleece pajamas.  I've always slept nude but now?  No way, I'm too cold!

Is feeling cold a result of the VSG? I ask because I have run miserably hot for years and have hated it. I have been feeling cold at times this week...which is a big relief to me. :-)

Yes, lots of us get very cold after surgery. I know I certainly have. Mind you, I'm in Canada's capital, the coldest capital in the world (-32 today) and bugger me, but I'm frozen!

Before my VSG I could wear a T-shirt and open coat in the winter. Now? I sleep with the following:

  • flannel PJs (fleece for around the house)
  • heated blanket (turned on 7 to heat up and relax in bed, 4-5 for all night long)
  • heating pad (low to medium heat for my feet)
  • fuzzy socks
  • two magic bags heated in the microwave (one on my torso, another near my shoulder)
  • a 10-lb cat against my hip or on my chest! (he loves me, what can I say?!)

No wonder hubby says he can't get near me! LOL

I have one that I use at home . . . if only I could use it at work!  This is the first time in my life that I have ever been cold and this winter I am FREEZING all the time!  I still prefer being cold to being hot all the time.
