The gas pains are different for everyone. I had gas pains for about a week and a half after surgery, but I read others only had them for a couple of days. Walking really was the best thing for the pain.

The gas?  What gas?  And how is it killing them?

I'd trust my pulmonologist.

-- Oh, you mean the gas from the laparoscopy?  That's completely different than the air that the CPAP pushes into your respiratory system.  The two are completely unrelated.

It's totally common for people to need another sleep study done after losing significant weight :)  And then they either get their pressure reduced or get off the CPAP all together.  But, yeah, until that happens you need to keep using it.

The post-op gas pain is totally different - it's from laparoscopy and walking as much as possible is the thing that will help alleviate it.
