It's going... slowly.

Surgery was 9 weeks ago yesterday, and I'm down 44 lbs. Little on the low side, but I know it's because I'm having trouble with my water intake, but I'm working on it. The good news, is that people have started noticing, which is awesome!

44 lbs in 9 weeks is almost 5 lbs a week. I think that's fantastic progress. Keep up with your water intake. I know it is hard but I did a crappy job with getting in fluids and ended up back in the hospital twice for dehydration. I would't wish that on anyone. I can definitely tell a difference between the two pictures and am not surprised folks are already starting to notice.

It just gets better from here!

Thank you!!! I am worried because it's not that I'm drinking other things, I'm drinking nothing. And I live in Phoenix. It's soooo important to drink water, but I just don't think about it and I end up not drinking anything.

I found that using a timer helped to remind me to drink. (I think that your cell phone may have one). I ordered an inexpensive one from amazon. They even have one you can hang around your neck called a timer with lanyard. I set mine for every 10 minutes. Like GooseGirl mentioned, you don't want to end up in the hospital for dehydration. Good luck to you! (By the way, your weight loss is great! Some lose more and quicker than others, but you are losing at a good pace).

Almost five pounds a week is GOOD and the water is very important.  When you don't give your body enough it tends to "Hold ON' to everything so you will lose better if you get the water in.  Also as you feel better start looking for ways to get activity/exercise into your day. You don't have to go all hard core at the gym, just walking or taking the stairs is a good start. Don't worry, the weight will come off. We all lose differently so don't sweat it if you are losing slower than others.

That is fantastic progress! I was reading on another post where someone said their doctor gave them a shot glass post surgery and they had to drink one every 30 minutes. I am sure you can drink more than that, but perhaps you could use a small glass and drink one in the course of 30 minutes. Keep up the great work!

your doing great do not compare yourself with others , everyone has different health problems age differences

I lose 5 lb ever month since 6 months out the first 6 months I lost 10 lb a month , except the first few weeks

I have been doing this for 1 3/4 years , with the sleeve you do not stop losing till you choose to , it will slow down and be harder to lose when there is less of you to burn calories
