5 days post op and I am hungry :(

So I am just 5 days post op and having hunger pangs. Is this normal? I am getting in all my water, my protein shakes and my three 2 ounce meals a day but at bed time I'm hungry. Is this ok?

It could be stomach acids, head hunger or residual ghrelin in your system or any combination of....

Just ride it out and follow your plan !!!

Thanks Frisco :) I am definitely sticking to the plan, no matter what. Hopefully it's acid. I have had trouble keeping down the PPI. I go to the Dr in the morning to try to get it in liquid form :)) thanks!

I would definitely try to get a PPI that you can tolerate. My stomach was constantly gurgling and it felt like hunger pangs so I started a PPI yesterday and today I've noticed a big difference. The pseudo hunger pangs are almost completely gone. Hang in there!

You're not hungry dear, it's either acid or head hunger. What helps me a lot is drinking a premier protein shake and lemon water (I just dump a few cut lemons in regular water and add a tad of lemon crystal light), also sugar free popsicles are a life saver when you get that feeling!

It's either head hunger or stomach acid. I hope you resolve the issue with your PPI.

I was wondering what a PPI is?  I also am experiencing hunger.
